||Samuel Owens house|
quickly shot unstable video of the interior the the Samuel Owens house built 1840. Staircase is original teak from 1840. This house was inherited by daughter Eva Owens who married Otha B Vaughan. They raised their children from separate marriages in this house and had one child , Evelyn Bradley Vaughan as offspring of their marriage raised here. House was being auctioned August 2010 with allowed video
- Per interview of Evelynn Moore 9/19/04; she thinks Eva's maiden name was Owen. Eva was married before marrying Otha Vaughan and it is unknown whether her maiden name or first married name might have been Owen.
Dot, Jack Curtis remember their mother, Mary Wells Vaughan Curtis, having a cousin Golce and Marge in Pisgah area of Somerset KY. Not sure of their connection.
Jack Curtis and Evelynn and Dot Curtis remember Eva having an Uncle named Will Newell.
2014 Pulaski County researcher via facebook Pulaski County, Kentucky: Shana Goggins Hmmm...I don't have Mrs. Osbourne on my list. Per what I recorded...the Todd family sold the land/house to the Prather family...in/around 1966 the Prathers sold it to the Edwards. In 1924 Eva Owens Vaughn left the property in her will to her husband Otha and her daughters (Mary Owens Hays Oatts, Clarine Rowe Hays Shadoan, Evelyn Bradley Vaughn Stigall). The two sisters then deeded their share to Mary who sold it to the Sears...and so on until the present day.
