  John died right after birth of heart defect, it was reported by family. He was born to Edith and Jack at the residence of Sam Colyer on Monticello St., Somerset Ky. Jack always had some misgivings about the incident as he wanted Edith to be at hospital for birth, but Mrs. Sam Colyer wanted to assist her daughter give birth at home, following the tradition of where Edith had been born.
