  per 1892 Edition of Brown Thurston's Thurston Geneologies 1635-1880 http://thurston_family.tripod.com/Thurston/FG02/FG02_079.htm Lovina Fitts Carpenter and her husband John Carpenter had no children. This may be why when she died she left in her will money to John Carpenter Curtis and her brother in law John Thurston Curtis. See sources section of web site for copy of her will.
