  BIRTHS reported in the year 1849 Page 144 CURTIS, male - July 23 to James Harvey & Fanny M Curtis 1869 - 70 McDonough Business Directory Curtis, James H., (McDonough,) lot 59, carpenter and joiner, undertaker and farmer 25. Married by Rev. O. Bennett per Mrs. Tuttle DAR paper presented Norwich 1941. They resided in McDonough Village in home they built, and in 1941 owned by Orra Barrows. He was a carpenter and builder and cabinet maker. He had a shop (the former gun shop of the Coville family) where he manufactured coffins. In fact he was the local undertaker of that day. (per Tuttle paper)
