This page was created by descendants of Earl B. and Mary Wells Curtis of Pulaski County Kentucky. Earl's ancestors originally appear in America in Connecticut. Descended from Thomas Curtis of Wethersfield Connecticut, they migrated to Chenango County New York. Around 1878 the family who were lumber workers for railroad, migrated to Pulaski County Kentucky. They continued in the lumber working business moving temporarily to Alabama and other counties of Kentucky in the lumber business. Around the turn of the 20th century, three brothers, Charlie, Fred and John(Jack) founded the FCJ Flour and the flourmill in Somerset Kentucky.
