Charles Granade Colyer grave

Here is picture of Clay Hill baptist church and cemetery where Charles Granade Colyer is buried as well as picture of Charles grave and that of his wife Louisa Jane Meece Colyer in Ruth Ky. Although it is known that Charles enlisted and fought for the south in the civil war, It is interesting to see his grave stone not being traditional confederate pointed top form as adopted by government in 1906. This and his membership in Knights of Pathias reconciliation fraternal organization may show his post war sentiments.
